Emergency information panels (EIP)

Emergency information panels

Traditionally, Emergency information panels (EIP) contain Dangerous Goods information. Furthermore, an Information panel indicates what Hazardous goods are being Transported.

Importantly, an EIP must include a Placard and contact information in case of an emergency. Indeed, the transported load must be clearly identified easily and quickly. Therefore, each Transport panel should include the substance’s name, Dangerous goods placard, UN number and Hazchem reference. Likewise, panels also include emergency contact and specialist advice information. The Transport EIP signs have provision for the specialist information on the lower part of the sign. However, the Storage panels do not.
